Join James River Cellars for one of our favorite days of the year as we celebrate National Spoil Your Dog Day!
We’re bringing back all the things you love…live music, great local food, artisan vendors, and plenty of dog-friendly fun. Meet adoptable dogs and maybe even find a new best friend to take home.

Dogs are always welcome at James River Cellars as long as they are leashed and well-behaved.
Handbuilt Pet Portrait Cups
Turn your favorite furry friend into a handmade ceramic cup – all while supporting a great cause. In this one-day class, artist-instructor Margaret Meehan will show you how to start with a basic pinch pot and transform it into a functional ceramic cup, then add sculpted and carved details to create your pet's face, ears, fur and other details. Finish by painting your cup with underglaze to capture their unique personality.
Best of all, 100% of proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Beagles & Bentleys, a local pet rescue organization helping animals find loving homes.
We'll apply a food-safe clear glaze and fire your cup for you. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 3 weeks after class. This workshop is beginner-friendly and kid-friendly. Kids ages 12+ are welcome to participate if accompanied by an adult.

B&B Five Year Celebration
Come celebrate FIVE years of Beagles and Bentleys at Vasen Brewing in Scott’s Addition on Saturday, July 11 from 3-6pm! We plan to have a silent auction and giveaways!
Puppy Therapy
Come get Church Hill Coffee at Second Arrow RVA in Richmond on June 20 and get your dose of puppy therapy! For $35 you get:
-45 minutes of puppy cuddles and play
-A cup of tasty cold brew (flavored or regular) or hot coffee -2:1 ratio guarantees plenty of pups for everyone!
To be clear, this is a puppy therapy event—not puppy yoga. We’ll leave the downward dogs to the pups while you enjoy the stress-relieving, healing effects of velvety ears and warm, fuzzy tummies. The best part? Ticket sales benefit Beagles & Bentleys rescue, and ALL puppies are available for adoption. Be sure to bring your friends for a fun, joy-filled afternoon!

B&B Yard Sale
Join us for our Yard Sale Fundraiser! All proceeds raised at the yard sale will benefit Beagles and Bentleys!
This neighborhood hosts an annual yard sale so there will be lots to see and purchase. If you wish to donate any goods to the B&B yard sale, please begin dropping off your items after May 9th. All items are accepted: Electronics, furniture, sporting equipment, baby gear, clothes, dishwear…. if you want to get rid of it, we’d love to sell it for a cause!

Locke A Taylor Compassion Project Walk n Wag
This will be the first event hosted by The Locke A. Taylor Compassion Project. It is on October 18th from 8am-2pm at Crump Park in Glen Allen, VA. The event is family friendly, children & dogs welcome. The 5k will take place inside the park. There will be food trucks, vendors, a children's area, and more! Proceeds will go to helping pet owners in our community that are struggling financially to get much needed medical care for their pet. Registration ends October 10, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT.
